The Alpine fit eliminates unnecessary bulk without compromising mobility, allowing for year-round layering underneath. The iconic Mountain HC Hood delivers unmatched weather protection, comfortably fitting over a climbing helmet and easily adjustable to suit changing conditions.

• The GORE-TEX Pro fabric used throughout is fully waterproof, windproof, and breathable, guaranteeing dryness in severe weather.
• A lighter main body fabric ensures the jacket remains flexible and comfortable, while reinforced areas on the shoulders and yoke enhance its durability.
• The main body uses 40D GORE-TEX Pro (117 gsm) in a waterproof, breathable 3-layer construction with DWR; Hydrostatic Head: 28,000mm, RET: <7.
• Reinforced sections feature 80D GORE-TEX Pro (154gsm) in the same 3-layer waterproof and breathable construction with DWR; Hydrostatic Head: 28,000mm, RET: <7.
• All seams are fully taped to prevent water ingress.

Patterning & Design

• The design uses the classic ‘Alpine Fit’, providing full freedom of movement while eliminating excess material.
• Sizing is based on the assumption that the wearer may use it over base layers, fleeces, or mid-layers; although it may feel spacious over a T-shirt in summer, most find the fit true to size year-round. Those with a smaller build intending to wear minimal layers may prefer a smaller size.
• Storm Construction is used for maximum weather resistance and durability, representing the brand’s highest specification build.

Hood Configuration

• The Mountain Helmet Compatible Hood can be worn comfortably over a helmet when necessary.
• The hood features full adjustability, with a volume adjuster at the back and two adjusters at the front.
• A laminated and wired peak maintains visibility, even in strong winds or when wearing goggles or glasses.
• The rear adjustment cord is routed internally to avoid snagging.
• The face panel is seamless, with the outer shell fabric providing protection and structure.
• Internal Cohaesive® cord locks and a tidy cord tunnel help keep adjustments secure and neat.
• A roll-away tab allows the hood to be stowed when not in use.

Pocket Configuration

• Two external hand pockets with YKK® AquaGuard® zips feature internal storm flaps, drainage channels, and zip garages. These are positioned for easy access while wearing a harness or backpack and are large enough for gloves and essentials.
• One external chest pocket with a YKK® AquaGuard® zip includes a storm flap, drainage channel, and zip garage, sized to fit a map, GPS, or other gear.
• A single internal security pocket with a YKK® zip provides secure storage for small items.
• All pockets are fully laminated for waterproof protection.
• The Stratum pocket construction increases the volume and usability of the pockets.

Centre Front Zip

• A full-length, two-way YKK® AquaGuard® front zip is backed by a laser-cut internal storm flap for maximum weather protection.

Cuffs & Sleeves Configuration

• Sleeves are articulated and pre-shaped to ensure comfort and movement, particularly when climbing or using poles.
• Cuffs are bonded and adjustable to accommodate gloves.
• Cuff pull tabs are reinforced with bar tacks for added durability.

Waist & Hem Construction

• The hem is bonded for enhanced strength and durability.
• Internal dual drawcords at the hem allow fine-tuned adjustment to keep weather out.
