Description

Mountain Equipment's lightest expedition-class sleeping bag. Ultralight when used alone but with enough room to accommodate down clothing when pushed to its absolute limit.

Part of Mountain Equipment's Extreme Expedition sleeping bag range, the Snowline is a lightweight expedition bag for mountaineering, backcountry ski trips and serious cold-weather use.

Using 831 g of exceptionally high-quality minimum 800-fill power CODEX-approved European goose down and a lightweight yet durable GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER® 10 denier outer fabric, the Snowline is a seriously warm yet highly breathable and water-resistant bag.

Extreme Expedition bags like the Snowline utilise Mountain Equipment's most complex baffle system. Through the chest and upper legs, V-shaped baffles maximise down overlap and eliminate cold bridges, while trapezoid baffles prevent down migration across the middle of the bag. Full-length baffles down each side maintain the bag's optimised box-like structure. A complex seven-baffle system concentrates down in the hood for optimum warmth and protection over long-term use. In contrast, a six-baffle system focuses warmth around the feet in the anatomically shaped foot box.

Down type and density are varied strategically through the bag to ensure it can resist compression on the underside while allowing maximum loft on the top. Internally, Mountain Equipment's time-tested EXL® elasticated stitching system minimises dead airspace, reduces drafts, and pulls the liner fabric away from the down, allowing it to loft effectively for maximal warmth.

A full-length Gemini™ entry zip baffle dramatically reduces heat loss in this typically vulnerable area, and the low-profile magnetic Lode Lock™ closure and collar drawcords are easy to use in the dark. An internal mesh pocket and secure zipped pocket keep essentials close to hand.

A roomy Expedition fit ensures comfortable sleeping and accommodates extra down layers, while a large foot box with a breathable GORE-TEX WINDSTOPPER® liner accommodates boot liners and wet items.
