Description
This lightweight synthetic insulated vest adapts easily to changes in intensity, pace and temperature, delivering the same warmth and breathability as the rest of Rab's Xenair range but without the bulk of sleeves. It works equally well as a midlayer or a standalone outer, staying compact and responsive whether climbing a frozen waterfall or switching from skinning to skiing.
A newly improved, highly breathable lining moves moisture through the fabric faster than before, while body-mapped, dual-weight insulation keeps warmth concentrated where it's needed most. Together, this reduces the need to swap layers as conditions change, keeping the wearer comfortable for longer.
Wind-resistant Pertex® Quantum Air keeps the chill off during exposed climbs, and a lightweight single-sided rear hem adjustment helps seal out icy winds. Semi-elasticated armholes prevent underarm soreness during high-output movement such as swinging ice tools or handling gear. A zipped chest pocket and two zipped hand pockets provide storage for gloves and snacks, with one hand pocket doubling as an integrated stuff sack with a harness attachment loop.
From fast-moving hikes to backcountry skiing, the Xenair Vest is an adaptable do-it-all layer built for big mountain days.
