Mountain Equipment Tupilak 45+ Alpine Climbing Pack

The Mountain Equipment Tupilak 45+ is a 45-litre alpine climbing and mountaineering pack for multi-day routes and the longest climbing days. Built from custom PACT 300 and 100 R² fabrics with aluminium hardware, the Tupilak 45+ was developed through more than 35 prototypes and is used day in, day out by alpine guides and instructors.

• 45-litre optimum capacity, with a 730 g minimum weight and 1020 g maximum depending on which components are fitted
• Custom-developed PACT 300 and 100 R² high tenacity fabrics: lightweight but robust, repelling snow and standing up to severe mountain conditions
• On Demand Minimalism, so the back panel, hip fins, compression straps, bungee and ice tool toggles all strip off to shed weight for a summit push
• Integrated cowl-lid closure with a custom aluminium Grappler buckle that stays usable in poor conditions, plus a secondary internal roll-top cowl that adds weather protection and keeps wet and dry items apart on multi-day trips
• Streamlined hourglass shape and a high-density EVA back panel give a more stable carry on both walk-ins and climbing
• High-density EVA foam shoulder straps kept low profile for climbing mobility, with a 38 mm webbing hipbelt and removable hip fins
• Side compression straps with aluminium Hammerhead toggles carry items such as sleeping mats or skis
• Dual axe toggles with an integrated pick pocket, haul loops and a daisy chain system, supplied with a shockcord system, plus a zipped floating accessory pocket reachable from outside or inside the pack

Supplied in Magma. Stripping the removable components takes it to the 730 g minimum weight; fully built up it is 1020 g. Hand wash periodically and remove debris, dry thoroughly after use, and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
