Extensive field testing has confirmed that PrimaLoftⓇ Gold Hi-Loft Ultra insulation with Cross Core™ aerogel technology stands as the finest synthetic insulation currently available for such use. It maintains excellent thermal performance even when wet, dries rapidly, and remains robust under repeated compression—yet stays supple enough for sustained wear and dynamic movement during technical climbing. With 120g/m² of PrimaLoftⓇ insulation throughout the body and arms, this version of the Alpamayo is marginally warmer than the men's equivalent, the Fitzroy.

A WINDSTOPPERⓇ outer shell provides total windproofing and superb weather resistance. Paired with the helmet-compatible Mountain HC Hood, the Alpamayo becomes one of the most protective synthetic jackets in its category.
