Description
Description
Part of the brand’s Extreme Alpine sleeping bag collection, the lightweight Kryos has been meticulously crafted for alpine expeditions and cold-weather adventures where minimal weight and maximum protection are of the utmost importance.
By blending premium-quality 800-fill power minimum goose down with a highly breathable, water-resistant DRILITE® LOFT 10-denier outer fabric, the Kryos is perfectly suited to remote and frigid settings, handling snowmelt and condensation with ease. For enhanced defence against moisture, the DRILITE® fabric also lines the hood, collar, and foot box—specific areas most susceptible to damp conditions.
Trapezoid baffles offer an ideal balance between warmth, packability, and weight distribution throughout the sleeping bag. A sophisticated seven-baffle construction directs insulation to the hood and collar for consistent warmth and protection during extended use. Meanwhile, in the ergonomically designed foot box, a six-baffle arrangement ensures heat is concentrated around the feet. A full-length Gemini™ zip baffle minimises heat loss along the zip, while the low-profile magnetic Lode Lock™ fastening and easily accessible collar drawcords remain practical in the dark or under harsh alpine conditions.
The brand’s extreme alpine bags are shaped with a tapered Alpine fit, which allows room for extra insulation layers or boots and enables sleeping in a seated or curled-up position when space is limited on bivy ledges.
With a Good Night’s Sleep Temperature rating of -20°C, the Kryos stands as the warmest option within the extreme alpine series. This figure reflects rigorous laboratory analysis, extensive field testing, and feedback from real expeditions—representing the lowest temperature at which an experienced user is expected to sleep comfortably in real-world conditions.
