Petzl Absorbica®

The Petzl Absorbica® is a small yet powerful energy absorber that is meant to be paired with a JANE lanyard for fall-arrest purposes. Its compact design ensures minimal bulk on the harness, while its tear-webbing and openable pouch provide protection against abrasion and allow for easy inspection.

Features

• It is designed to be used in conjunction with either a JANE-I or JANE-Y lanyard, forming a fall-arrest system with a maximum length of two metres.

• The energy absorber helps to dissipate the force during a fall:
  
  
  • The progressive tearing of the energy absorber webbing reduces the impact force on the user.
  • It is suitable for individuals weighing between 60 and 140 kg.

• Its minimal bulk and compact design ensure it does not interfere with the user's movement during progression.
• The energy absorber is housed in a durable fabric pouch with an easy-to-use opening system, providing protection against abrasion and contaminants while allowing for regular inspection of the absorber.

• There are two installation options for the harness, depending on the intended use:
  
  
  • For frequent connection and disconnection: the carabiner can be held in the correct position by the STRING accessory (included with the absorber), or a MICRO SWIVEL can be used to prevent tangling.
  • For semi-permanent connection: either a RING OPEN gated ring, which optimally positions the device due to its circular shape, or a SWIVEL OPEN, which helps avoid tangling, can be used.
