Sustainability Features
The Downpour Mountain Jacket uses 61% recycled content in its main fabric, with 45% recycled content across the whole product. Zips carry 4% recycled content and trims 6%. The fabric's DWR finish is fluorocarbon-free throughout.
Technology
Pertex® Shield: the jacket's 40D 2.5-layer Pertex® Shield ripstop fabric (97gsm) combines a waterproof hydrostatic head of 20,000mm with breathability of 20,000g/m²/24hrs, finished with a fluorocarbon-free DWR coating for reliable weather protection in demanding mountain conditions.
Rab's fluorocarbon-free fabrics are completely free of fluorocarbons (PFAS), whether in the face fabric, membrane, or backer. PFAS-free means all intentionally added PFAS have been phased out, compliant with current EU and US legislation.
