The Firewall Guide Jacket is Rab's most rugged waterproof shell, built for guides and alpinists who need to operate all day in tough mountain conditions. Its highly articulated cut, including sleeves shaped for overhead reach and ice tool swings, keeps movement unrestricted on weather-beaten climbs and long days on exposed terrain.

Technology

Pertex® Shield: the jacket's 40D 3-layer Pertex® Shield fabric (148gsm) combines a waterproof hydrostatic head of 20,000mm with breathability of 20,000g/m²/24hrs, finished with a fluorocarbon-free DWR coating for reliable, all-day protection on demanding guided routes and long mountain days.

Rab's fluorocarbon-free fabrics are completely free of fluorocarbons (PFAS), whether in the face fabric, membrane, or backer. PFAS-free means all intentionally added PFAS have been phased out, compliant with current EU and US legislation.
