The Firewall Waterproof Jacket is Rab's protective 3-layer shell for mountain hiking and scrambles in changeable weather. Built with hardwearing, breathable 40D Pertex® Shield fabric, it stands up to rock scuffs and pack wear while keeping the elements out on exposed, demanding days.

Sustainability Features
The face fabric is 100% recycled and the main outer fabric is 53% recycled, though the membrane and backer are not recycled. The zipper is 16% recycled and the trims are 4% recycled, for 40% total recycled content across the jacket. No renewable energy was used in manufacturing.
Technology
Pertex® Shield is a 3-layer waterproof, breathable fabric built to withstand rock scuffs and pack wear on exposed mountain days, finished with a fluorocarbon-free DWR treatment.
Rab's fluorocarbon-free fabrics are completely free of fluorocarbons (PFAS), whether in the face fabric, membrane, or backer. PFAS-free means all intentionally added PFAS have been phased out, compliant with current EU and US legislation.
